Many abuses have been done to undocumented people in the border and all over the United States. Immigrants have been killed and mistreated by border patrol agents and federal agents in general.  Many illegal people live in the United States and they deserve civil rights like every other human living in this country. The organization Border Network for Human Rights was made by El Paso attorneys and a group of activist people to help defend Human rights of people living in the border.

The Border Network for Human Rights is an organization with more than 700 families or closed to 4,000 individuals are member of the border network for human rights. They come from West Texas and Southern New Mexico. They are immigrants and native born who believe in human rights. They have three campaigns, the comprehensive immigration reform, accountable and responsible border policy and the protection and promotion of civil and human rights. People can get involved in the organizations. The strength of the BNHR lies in working to combat human rights and civil rights abuses and to bring about change to their broken immigration system.

The general purpose for The Border Network for Human Rights is to facilitate the education the organization and the participation of marginalized border communities to defend and promote human and civil rights: to the end that these communities work to create political, economic and social conditions were every human being is equal in dignity and rights. They have organized themselves in 7 regions and 34 committees. The BNHR participates in the nation-wide effort to educate elected officials at every levels of government about the needs of border communities.  The BNHR organization makes reports, and surveys to people in the community. The Border Network for Human Rights makes letter-writing campaigns and forum discussions aiming at including the voices of border communities in the national debate.

The agency organization has been really good at helping with the civil rights and the human rights of the people, especially of illegal people. The BNHR has been really aware of the abuses and violence against immigrant people and helps the community with making campaigns, and groups of people pass out information about their rights, they make reports and surveys to the community to help connect with their organization. They help to fight for what is right, and a lot of people join their community. They want people to get involve in votes and surveys they make, to help support the rights.
